AW21 Trends – ‘Suit Switch-up’

Traditionally, suits have been associated with corporate, working (and lets face it) male environments. An aesthetic symbol of the patriarchy which could be considered boring, restricting, unstylish and non-creative. However, over recent years the suit has been reclaimed by empowered women everywhere and in AW21 we’re seeing this garment more and more in varying material, colours and styles.

Being that 2021 has changed how we view the workplace, brands have responded by reimagining the tailored conventional. Suits are chic, flattering, timeless, cool, often intentionally feminine and even better yet…versatile. This style can be dressed up with heels for evening events or teamed up with an oversized tee and comfy trainers for a casual daytime look. As an additional bonus the pieces can be worn separately as well, the jacket could be thrown on to add some style to your simple ‘jeans and a nice top’ look or even pair the trousers with your favourite crop for some night time drama.

This is your reminder to invest your hard earned cash in a staple suit (it can even be worn all year around so we promise you’ll be getting your moneys worth).
