Still a wardrobe staple in 2022, co-ords are in fact a popular trend that can be traced all the way back to the 1600s, when Elizabethan women wore matching bodices and skirts. However, it wasn’t until the 1920s, when Coco Chanel created her iconic matching cardigan jackets and skirts that co-ords became what we recognise them as today.

In today’s fashion climate, there are multiple fabric and style variations of two, three and even four-piece co-ord looks to choose from, created by both designer and high-street brands. Some options lean more towards the figure hugging, ath-leisure style, whilst other loose fitting suit pants, waistcoat and blazer looks take a fun twist on a traditionally more formalised trend. 

In short, there really is the perfect co-ord out there for everyone, it’s just a case of seeking it out.

Heading into SS22 we are already seeing how co-ords have brought life, vibrancy and effortless style to wardrobes, we can’t wait to see what else is brought into the mix.
