The Israeli government have completed the 3.5 year build of a 65 km iron wall around Gaza, costing them almost €1 billion. This barrier is made with underground, sensor-equipped extensions, surveillance cameras and remote-controlled weaponry is holding captive 1.8 million Palestinian residents, half of which are children.

The construction of this wall is yet another terrifying event on the timeline of the ongoing Nakba, the forced expulsion of Palestinians from their homes starting from 1948 to the present. The majority of Palestinians now trapped in the densely populated, blockaded region of Gaza are in fact refugees from other parts of Palestine.

The Israeli military have become the world’s leading developer of technologies of war, occupation and “demographic engineering’ and are even field-testing those technologies on the people living within the walls of Gaza.

Israel have, in effect, created the world’s largest open-air prison, an unthinkable monument of oppression.
