The range of white dresses being created by designers for this upcoming spring/summer season is plentiful. It’s possible that this trend, traditionally considered as virginal, soft and feminine, is being offered to the fashion world as a palate cleanser to all of the colourful and bold styles also happening across the season.

Some of the particularly eye-catching white pieces are playing around with designs; full skirts, layers of playful ruffles, delicate lace hems or even sexy cut-outs. Whilst the more simplistic white dress wardrobe staples are here to stay, it really seems that the oversized shirt dress will never go out of style. 

As can be expected, almost any varying style of a white dress will convey some bridal qualities, whether it’s short, maxi, beachy, sexy or modest. We are seeing the runways and streets overflowing with variations of the staple white frock, with fashion lovers being able to choose between leaning into the feminine flow or fighting against the current…we’re thinking oversized leather jackets or bright coloured cowboy boots.
